I was scammed by an Airbnb listing – I was shocked to see what was under the sheets

Talk about hitting the “hey?!â€.

After hours of travel, most vacationers are eager to sink into a soft mattress on a comfortable bed in a hotel room or rental home.

But when it came time to pull back the sheets to get some shut-eye, this traveler had to TABLEThe point – literally

“It’s not what it seems,” said a brunette who, according to a trending clip, was surprised to discover that the “bed” in her Nebraska Airbnb rental was actually two folding tables covered by a comforter .

“It’s an illusion,” she cursed.

Kristen Downard, 28, first shared the deleted clip with 8.7 million TikTok viewers. She tells The Post that it was her sister and two friends who fell prey to the not-so-comfortable scam.

“When my sister sent me the video of the tables under the comforter, my mouth literally fell open,” said Downard, a professional cheerleading coach from Florida. She chose to withhold her sister’s name for privacy purposes.

“I know Airbnbs can have some crazy things going on,” Downard added, “but this takes the cake.”

However, it is certainly not the only mistake that the brand has made in bad taste.

Erica Watkins, 23, a black woman, was forced out of an Airbnb in the rural South after finding the home decorated with racially offensive clothing.Â

Kennedy Calwell, a Canadian content creator, also left Airbnb early when he discovered a hidden camera had been plugged into an electrical outlet, secretly filming people during their most intimate moments.

“In the bathroom, one of the plugs was directly from the shower,” Calwell explained to over 7.6 million TikTok viewers.

She and 14 friends had booked the rental for a 30th birthday getaway. But after seeing the recording device, the blonde and her friends quickly left the property.

“We left home,” she said. “The police checked the place and arrived [the cameras].â€

Fortunately for Downard’s sister and her traveling companions, a makeshift bed doesn’t have to be the stuff of nightmares. In fact, one of the girls in the clip couldn’t stop laughing at the silly setup.

However, social media naysayers failed to find the gaudy furnishings funny.

“This money should be back in my account the second I uncover that blanket,” said one commenter.

“I always check for bugs, but now I have to check for beds!!?!?”, groaned another.

“This is so illegal,” spat an equally outraged onlooker.

Downard tells The Post that she, like millions online, “felt bad” about the bed in her sister’s room.

But now, she feels even worse about “going viral without her permission,” Downard said. “Oops.”
